Can I use Waitlist Releases to set different ship dates on my product variants/SKUs?Updated 2 days ago

Yes, great question! You can use our add release feature to have pre-orders for a product with different variants to have different ship dates. 

For example, let’s say you have want to have 20 Caps available for pre-order and two colors available (Red/Black & Brown).

You want to have 10 available to pre-order for the Red/Black variant and 10 available for pre-order for the Brown variant, but you will be shipping them out at different times. You want to have the Red/Black Cap shipped out July 30-31st and you want to ship out the Brown Cap August 30-31st. 

You'd set up the first waitlist for July 30-31 and have the buy size set to 10 for the Red/Black Cap variant and 0 for the Brown variant (since you won't receive the stock for the Brown variant until later). 

In Purple Dot, you can use the + Add Release tab to add the Brown variant with different ship dates. 

You can then set up the second waitlist for August 30-31 and have the the buy size set to 10 for the Brown variant and 0 for the Red/Black variant.
