Why do I see a debit on my bank account for orders refunded in Shopify?Updated 2 days ago

Purple Dot takes payment for pre-orders and facilitates any refunds. Since we payout once the order is exported, when refunds are actioned after a pre-order arrives in Shopify, the refund will show as a debit on your connected bank account. 

The FTC requires funds to be kept in the escrow account to cover cancellations of non-exported pre-orders. For this reason, we do not deduct from the held balance portion of your Stripe account to cover refunds after they are exported to Shopify.
